Forward Number to External
« on: February 02, 2017, 12:32:59 PM »
We have our phones setup if not answered forward to my cell phone. I would like to see the original users number when forwarded but our Mitel 3300 is currently sending my office number.

EG
111-111-1111 calls my direct line 222-222-2222
direct line does not answer and forwards the call to my cell phone 222-222-2222 -> 333-333-3333 (cell phone)
The number displays as 222-222-2222 (office phone) on my cell when ringing.

I would like to pass 111-111-1111 to my cell phone 333-333-3333

What type of trunks do you have?

This function is often trunk dependent. With CO/POTS not able to provide this function at all, and PRI/SIP capable but depending on your providers setup and Caller ID rules. (I.E. will the provider allow you to send out Caller ID that does not ride/belong to that circuit.)

I have one full 23 line PRI

What specifically should I be asking my provider?
 - do you allow sending out Caller ID that does not ride/belong to that circuit.

Yes, you could ask them that.

Or, how do you dictate what outbound caller id is sent out from deskphones now? From within the Users and Services form or one of the other methods?

Try manually programming your extension to give off a phone number that wouldn't belong to the company, and see what happens when you call your cell from you desk phone.
