3300 CXI alarm 'DSP 2 installed 1 unavailable minor alarm"
« on: March 27, 2009, 10:15:31 AM »
Hi guys,

On my 2 demo 3300 CXIs, I get the above alarm, in the GUI, under Maintenance and Diagnostics, alarms.

If I do a Show Status alarm, it says no alarms.
If I do a Show Faults Receivers, it says no faults.

I read the 9.0 Release notes, and saw something about upgrading the Bootrom all command.  Tried that, but alarm still there - only when you click on alarms - not there in top left alarm banner location, or when Show Satus Alarms.

The systems are stock - no additional DSPs, of any type, installed!!

Any ideas?

I usually see this alarm when one 3300 cannot talk via IP turnking to another 3300.

The system may be telling you that it wants another DSP. The way the system sees things isn't by the required load at a given time but by the amount of resources it would need for what you are licensed. I bet if you were to install either a DSPII or another quad DSP in the controller it would go away.

What do you have licensed on the controller?

1. Maintenance Commands  <uppgradebootrom>   submit
2. Maintanence Commands  <restart>                      submit

now the error does not...

good work come easy... :)
