Call center no handset
« on: February 28, 2018, 02:23:09 PM »
Is there a way to disable the hang up button on the phones?

I have a call center that uses headsets and have removed all the handsets from the phones. If someone touches that button to hand up a call then the phone goes offhook for a couple minutes or they need to unplug the phone.

Are you talking about the red button on a 5320?

Are the phones in headset mode? I thought this essentially disabled the hook switch.

I am speaking of the hookswitch.

I don't think Duct tape would be acceptable in a place with "Luxury" in the name

I have a 5320 on my desk right now - if I put it into headset mode, the hookswitch does nothing.
If you've taken away the handsets, then the phone must be in headset mode, right?

If you use luxury Duct Tape then it's a win-win.

Seriously, put the phones in headset mode.

Ace is fine but you can get the camouflage ducktape at Home Depot.  If you don't want it seen then it's better to use that.
