Half/Full Duplex
« on: January 15, 2014, 03:17:40 PM »
I've got two phones that when I looked at the config originally were set to half duplex under the Hardware Config section. I changed them to H/Full but when I save the changes and reboot and look at the port settings it only show half. Now the switch is setup to auto negotiate and I know this is working fine as I can plug in another phone and it boots up just fine and when I look at that phones Hardware Config section it shows it's Full Duplex under the LAN settings. Is there anything else I could try or maybe these two phones NICS are just shoot?

thanks,

Try making the phone "Auto" and see if it takes on the hadshake from the POE switch.

The phone is already set to auto for the port negotiation.

Did you try to factory default the phone via the menu?

I saw this once... The fix was to flash it to another PBX & version (I have access to lots of different Mitel PBXs, in this case I used a newer 5000 system), then bring it back and let it reflash to the 3300 it was originally for. Otherwise I gotta go with a bad phone.

Thanks for the suggestion, I don't have another version but I will try taking it back and plugging it into another PBX to see what happens. Otherwise that was also my conclusion.

Thanks,
