Loss of config after power cut.
« on: January 09, 2014, 10:49:50 AM »

I have had two sites recently that both run 4.2 software (10.2.2.15) with SSD, both after power custs have come back up with no customer info on it. I was just wondering if this is known issue or if anyone else has experienced it.
When checking the DBMS it shows the flag as on.

The most important thing right now is that you have a recent (or fairly recent) backup of the 2 systems.

Yep, its something to do with the SSD's. I could never get to the bottom of it and in my case both systems with the issue come up partially with just random bits missing. A restore of a backup works fine though. Later SSD's seem to be more resilient so far.....

I've seen this.
A few times.
Once we recovered from an old backup (lost lots of changes).
But we discovered that if you pull the system out of the rack, remove the SSD and put it back, it started working.

I know that sounds weird but I'd try that.

I thought this was a known issue with early SSD drives from Mitel... I can't seem to find the tech bulletin on it to get replacements or something though. Not much help now that it is working... sorry.
