Accessing the 3300 via iPad
« on: November 19, 2010, 09:44:56 AM »

I know that Mitel is developing a solution to bring UC functionality to the iPad (and a few other devices).  "Mitel Freedom" I think its called.

Anyone know of a way to access the 3300 switch via the iPad?  Apparently the only browser that's supported for the 3300s' RTC is IE.  Of course, IE and iPad may as well oil and water.  Is anyone out there familiar with a method of accessing the 3300 through an iPad?  I realize java isn't supported either and likely plays a role.  Just tossing the questions out there.

Think you only need Java for backups etc.

Google Chrome may be worth a shout think there is a IE emulator in there also.

iPad on a 3300?  That would be cool!

It's unfortunate that the only browser that works is IE.

I have seen someone use their iPhone to connect to a PC via logmein.com that could connect to the controller.
That does mean you have to have a windows machine you can connect to.  Something like a 6510 or PFyre server.

I have used the AVAST browser and it seems to work quite well on a PC not sure if they have an iPad app though. It still doesn't do the backups but you can export forms, which is something I'm having trouble with IE with on MCD4.2 at the moment.
