External Ringer
« on: June 05, 2011, 09:48:49 PM »
Guys,
we have a couple of handsets working at a remote site, and they are complaining that they cannot hear the 5312's when out of the office. Does anyone know of an external ringer that can be used and how it would be connected?. May be a SIP device with a ring group for the two phones? I have had a look at the MITEL site but couldn't find anything obvious. they are only connected via IP so an analogue bell is out.
Any advice?
Thanks

We've used a couple different products. There's an Algo SIP Pager/Ringer that we've used through a teleworker and locally. We've had problems getting the paging side of it to work through the Teleworker, but that was secondary function.

We've also used SIP ATA's with Valcom PA-2A, that will do loud ringer.

In both cases, the ringing was done through personal ring groups.
