Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: ACD Call Path

Are there any other options within this dial out of queue? Any default action in some timeout? Ask because what you say should work unless dtmf isn't recognized IMHO.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / ACD Call Path
« Last post by bvtech on May 13, 2025, 03:09:22 PM »
I will do my best to explain this as simply as I can.  I am working on setting up ACD on a MiVB SVI with Embedded VM.  I have everything working correctly as the customer wants except for one thing.  On their current phone system when all agents are unavailable, calls go to a department mailbox.  I have it set up so that when the  main path (call it 1111) is in DND, Calls go to a secondary path called 1112.  1112 is programmed with a RAD greeting that sends digit 1 to the department mailbox. When I call 1112 internally, calls go directly to the RAD message which gives the option to press 1 to leave a message.  Pressing 1 goes to the appropriate mailbox and will receive messages.  However, when I call from outside (using a temporary SIP trunk) The correct RAD greeting  plays, but when I press 1 it plays the main AA greeting which should not play on either ACD path.  It seems like something is screwy between internal calls and external calls.  I have been going over the programming for hours and I can't figure this out.  It is probably something simple like a dumb radio button, but I don't know where to look.  I would greatly appreciate any assistance.  Thank you.

Another option - don't.

Let me explain.  When we switched from the 5212 to the 6920 units, we standardized every classroom on a specific set of speed dials.  From there, if they want to add a speed dial, we let them but they have to do it manually.  For this phone, they can hold the speed dial button down and will eventually get the options to add the speed dial information.  Not sure that's an option in your case, but it has really cut down on the 'can you set this key for me' type of requests.  We do still get them from time to time from office staff, but the classroom staff have accepted that this is now the standard.
This is the way... 100%.

Either that or train their IT people to make the changes... or start charging them by the hour to do it, and if you on-site time is more expensive than remote, tell them a site visit is needed. Once you tell them that this is going to be a few hundred bucks every time you do this, they may be more open to a standard layout that is stagnent. DSS/BLF changes are one thing, regular speed dials can be done by the user or IT staff.

Yes end user can do a long key press to change a 6900 series phone, but an admin approach to mass changes might be my suggestion

Fwiw.

So, it should be when having answered a call on an analog extension and trying to transfer, hookflash dial extension number, remain on line for supervised transfer or hang up for blind. Might look at ONS/OPS Circuit Descriptors for hookswitch timing and verify COS but would assume they should be good.

Certainly verifying the process with a buttset or 2500 set should isolate the issue.
