The Device Master is a serial port device using RS232 on RJ45 ports instead of DB9 seral ports. Should be no changes from the PBX side. They use an RJ45 to DB25 or DB9 serial cable.

Just wanted to post this hoping it might help someone else.

The recent msbBridge bug that Mitel released a patch for (See KMS article AL603 and SO8515) can cause a weird issue where MWI flashes if there is no voicemail and if there is a voicemail the MWI doesn't flash. The patch resolves this issue.

I am not sure what version you are on, but the latest version 6.3 SP7 is set to 49 characters not 26.

Note his is using a "MiVoice Business 5000"... not a MiVoice Office 250 or "5000"... I think he is referring to the old Aastra platform, not the old Intertel platform.

Out-bound Username: This field applies only if the SIP peer requires registration or call authentication. The username is provided by the SIP peer. The MiVoice Office 250 uses this username as part of the SIP Digest Credentials in the SIP Request. The username is limited to 64 characters.

Out-bound Password: This field applies only if the SIP peer requires registration or call authentication. The password is provided by the SIP peer. The password is limited to 49 characters.

You may want to try an MBG or some other SBC that can do what you need for credentials if your version doesn't allow for it.

You may also be in the wrong forum if you mean the Aastra 5000 and not the Inter-Tel 5000 that Mitel bought out. I can move this thread if you need me to.

Turned out it was a known issue with Microsoft and Mitel. Needed to get a patch to run on my Micollab server to fix.

Anyone else having voicemail to email issues? Noticed yesterday 5/19 users were no longer getting vm to email.

1. Looked at our Oauth secret and it doesn't expire until next year

2. Tried putty into our micollab server as root and tried the restartUmPro.sh command to no avail.

3. Nothing has changed on the Firewall and can see all traffic moving as it should.

Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

Unfortunately, I am their IT people.. since the beginning of phones here, people have had their names on the displays and speed dial buttons. On the previous system, I could go into the "profile" for a particular model at any site, change a button's text, and it would instantly be reflected on all matching model phones at that site. Doing it on the Mitel feels.. manual and old school.

A mailbox can be the same as the path ldn, but it will not provide any message indication via a lamp. That would be why I mentioned setting it up with a callflow that just sends it to the group mailbox desired

OK. Thanks.  I was trying to send it to a different mailbox that is basically a phantom extension.  Can I have a mailbox with the same number as the path number? I thought I tried it and it didn't work.  I guess I was not aware that a path can have a voicemail box.
