MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Limit number of inbound calls
« on: July 16, 2020, 09:19:37 AM »
Using NexVortex for SIP calls, there are a total of five lines.  I would like to restrict inbound calls to three. NexVortex is unable to do this, they say I have to do it on my phone system.

Which option do I need to change on the phone system to limit the number of inbound calls to three?

I did port forwarding for about seven years with close to twenty phones and never had an issue with security or performance. Make sure you only forward the ports you need and keep you're phone system semi-current, and you'll be fine

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Roadmap for 5000/250?
« on: May 19, 2020, 12:47:06 PM »
Has anyone heard how much longer they'll be supporting the 5000/250?  I have a client that's looking to buy one, but I don't want to push them to this platform if it's going to go away before long.

Thanks

So x1180 had DEE entries, and even though DEE wasn't enabled, I went ahead and deleted them.

Problem solved.

Thanks for your help

I guess it's possible, but x1180 isn't off node.

If I dial x1762 I get the guy at x1762, if I dial x1180, I get the guy at x1180, so no issues there

If I leave a message for x1762, the light is lit on x1762

I've never see DEE light two phones before, but I guess it's worth looking into.  I'll check there next

I deleted and re-created MB1180...no change

I see no reason to post the easy issues  ::)

That was my next step...I see that MB1180 has two new messages, so I want to make sure they don't need them before I remove the MB

I found remote messaging...it's set to "no"

I have verified that MB1180 is associated

I'm not familiar with Phone Manager...is that a software product?

How would I examine Remote Messaging to see if it was the one causing the problem?

Confirmed, I can duplicate the issue by leaving a VM for x1180 (message now says 2 messages for MB1180 on x1762)

It's a VM...the display on the screen says "Message from MB 1180"

I haven't tried to duplicate the issue, I'll try now

I have a user at x1762 that's getting a message notification for x1180.  I assumed MB1180 was set to tell x1762 when it had a message, but that's not the case, it's set to x1180 as it's supposed to be.

Other than the "message notification phone", where should I look?

We use tracer.  Are those SIP trunks "managed" or do they go into a MBG?  We ran into the issue before managed SIP that Tracer can't record from "unknown" IP addresses; managed SIP gives you one IP address to record on.
