Mitel 5000 Hot Desk assignments lost when power is lost
« on: February 02, 2017, 08:09:56 AM »
Our Mitel5000 system is configured such that there is a hot desk profile created for each person to allow for portability.  When our power goes out, which happens more than it should, all hot desk assignments are lost.  While not a huge problem, this creates mayhem when power is restored because nobody's phone rings until they remember to login.

Is there a way to configure the system to remember the hot desk assignments?

Thanks for your time.

Are you using IP or TDM sets? If you're using IP you can "move" users by changing the MAC assigned against the phone.

bob2246,

There isn't a way to program the system to auto logon a particular HD user to a particular phone as that would kind of defeat the purpose of making them HD users in the first place. I do believe that with Phone Manager there is a setting for the Professional version that allows for something like that though.

***Update***

Actually I just looked and it doesn't do that.

Sorry,

TE
