CRA transfered from blocking caller ID
« on: December 02, 2016, 12:09:55 AM »
I have a star application routing calls to our office phone's via a CRA. We have POTS lines coming in to the phone controller. Basically, the only thing the STAR is for is to route calls to VM when the shop is closed for weekends/after hours/holidays so that we don't have to manually set the system into night mode and then forget to switch it back to day mode the next morning or vice versa. It works like it is supposed to except for one thing. Our old system did not support caller ID and the new Mitel system does. Without the calls going through the star/CRA the caller ID shows a name and numer. But if the calls are routed through the star/cra, we only see the name of the caller on top and on bottom it says "transfered from during hours" (during hours being the name of the CRA)

Anybody know of a way aroung this. The management would prefer that both lines of caller ID be displayed.

Don't believe there's a way to stop that.  The second line is there to tell you how the call got there (transferred from, recall from, forward from).  Originally you could only see name or number, and when they decided to display both name AND number they had to hide one line in order to still show how the call got there on the second line.  But number does show up on second display line once you answer.

Disable the phone flag "All Transient Displays"
