Mitel Call recorder
« on: June 02, 2016, 07:55:59 AM »
Hi
I have a customer currently using Re-Tell Sense call recorder 2.6.2

They have purchased the mitel Call recorder (formally oiasys)

My question, is there an easy way to export the calls from one database into the new one or is there no way.

I can't imagine there would be a way, I've never heard of the capability to "export" call recording records and there is, as fart as I know, no standard format for such a beast.

Google tells me that Retell supports "Bulk Export" of calls, but if it works like Mitel, you'll end up with a bunch of WAV files, which cannot be imported (at least not with Oaisys). Depending on how the files are labelled on export, could the customer host the WAV files on a file server and download them as needed?

I have contacted mItel and it seems the best possible way is to download the archived wav files and store them on the same server and then search for them as and when needed.

Thanks for you help guys
