3300 7.1 RingGroup overflow to embedded voicemail box?

Is there any way to get a Ring Group to overflow to embedded voicemail box (3123).  my 3300 is at Mivoice 7.1 I have tried everything I know to do but all it does is time out and go to Auto Attendant.  I have tried setting up a *3123 hunt group which goes to 3123 voicemail message but still no luck.  Any help appreciated!!

Hi,

To make a ring group overflow to an embedded voice mailbox make the ring group number the same as the mailbox *3123 and overflow to the voicemail hunt group IE 6000. I know this works on 6.0, but I'm not sure about 7.0.

As long as the ring group and mailbox match it should be a simple case of pointing the overflow point to the voicemail hunt group.

good luck with getting a message waiting indicator though, if you require that your going to have to use ACD path which interflows to single line etc.

If the ring group is *3123 it should end up in mailbox 3123 which could be a trusted phone, which would make the lamp feature easy enough

You will have to make sure the the Hunt Group is a Name Tag type for it to work.

I did it exactly like Dan mentioned and it works great!!  MWI key works on multiple phones too.  Thanks a bunch Dan!!

How did you get the mwi? Can you detail your flow of you don't mind having issues with a similar setup.

MitelUK2010.......I created a 3123 single line phantom key on a phone.....created an extension voicemail box 3123....created RingGroup *3123 with the overflow to voicemail huntgroup pilot #.  Addeded MWI keys for 3123 to 3 phones.  works great
