Are SIP calls peer-to-peer calls?
« on: August 20, 2014, 08:01:49 AM »
After migrating a 5.0.3.46 system from ISDN to SIP, the users report that Silent Monitor no longer works. Reading the requirements for monitor/Barge-In, it says,
Code: [Select]
A monitor/Barge-In call is rejected if:
...
• The hunt group member/agent is on a peer-to-peer (P2P) call.

so if the 5000 steps out of the audio path once the SIP call is set up [as with MCD]  then presumably the call becomes peer to peer?

Just tried this with a SIP trunk on V6 SP1 and it worked fine.

After much faffing about this turns out to have been user error all along. The user swore they were trying to monitor one extension but it turns out it was actually another they were monitoring. FFS.
