Ring Group After hours

Hey Guys.

Just inherited our first Mitel system. We are working on department number which is currently a Multicall line assigned to all of our phones. We would like to migrate that to a Ring Group and schedule it for our regular business hours automatically instead of having to manually forward out the multicall line.

We've setup the Ring Group and setup the over flow point and all of that works as expected. The problem were facing is how we take that Ring Group and automatically forward it to the overflow point after hours.

Can we do this or are we better off leaving it alone?

I'm not sure if you can reroute Ring Groups.  I think so - just not sure.

If yes, then here's how to do it.
You have to up a call Rerouting Always alternative to where you want it to go. 
Then assign the always alternative number to the ring group number in the Call Rerouting form for night mode.
Then you have to set your system schedule for night mode on and off.

Not looking promising in the call re-routing options. Unless there is something I'm missing to add that in there as a reroute point

Unfortunately you aren't able to put a RR on a Ring Group, you have to set an overflow point.

Yep we found that out. We decided to just leave it as a multicall extension. The problem we are looking at now is how to make the 6510 VM forward to a voicemail box when 1 is pressed and forward out to our on call phone when 2 is pressed.. All out of the same mailbox and call tree

By 6510 I assume you mean the hand set type rather than an extension number?

Is this an auto attendant that is running on the embedded voicemail or via Nupoint Call Director?

The 6510 would be an Esna Voice Mail.
I'm not a 6510 (now called "Tolee") tech but my company has sold a lot of them.  It can do a lot of pretty cool things such as block unwanted callers via their caller ID.

You should be able to send 2 to a system speed call that goes out to a cell.   
Be sure  to check "over ride toll security" in the speed dial.

Ah, gotta jump on and have a look at Esna sometime, looks much better than Nupoint.

Any idea what option that would be? I see where we can send it to another mailbox, but not very clear on just forwarding it to a number or speed dial

Sorry.  I'm not a 6510 tech.   
But I would think that you could create a SD in the 3300 and then create a mailbox for it to send the call out.
