3300 Mxe 111 - rebooting

any idea why 3300 Mxe 111 keeps on restarting, the software version is R10.2.0.26_2,
I have attached the system alarms.

Look through the software/hardware logs.  There's usually a clue there.

Log into the system and look under Maintenance.

Use a serial cable attached to the maintenace port it will spew out the boot up information and you can see where it fails and reboots.

Misunderstood.  I didn't realize it wasn't coming all the way up.

I suspect you have either a bad mother board or a bad module.

There is a fix for a problem like you in this version (MCD 4.2 SP2 PR1-(ICP 10.2.2.15)  Maybe this is your problem.


MN00383952 - Me Controller keeps rebooting due to GPPcsDsCtrlrT1 suspended task
REPORTED IN SW LOAD - 10.2.1.13
SYMPTOMS
 Since upgrading to CD 4.2 sp1, the controller  reset about 6 times with following exception:
3066   ERROR   2011/04/26 10:14:56   filed   Software   xfile.c(998)   
              Xfile exception event entry from: GPPcsDsCtrlrT1

If that is the problem it is a possibility. I would still look at the maintenance dump and see for sure what is causing the reboot. Could easily be a module as Ralph suggested.

To me it appears to be a hardware issue I would strip out all the extra modules and see if it boots. Appears as Ralph said might be the mainboard in the controller.

new things that i installed was DSP 11, Echo daughter, RAID  & 2nd  Processor, one by one i have removed and tested. same error and same thing happened.

The error might have been before this capture. You will need to capture from startup and it would not be a bad case to do a fresh install from boot. If the system is still not coming up we will need the info for RMA or DOA.
