Hot desk extension stuck in state "Releasing" - user can't log on

Has anybody had this issue and figured out how to fix it?

It's just stuck as "Releasing", Busy Reset on the extension or Busy on the Extension or PLID don't change the state of it.

Try a "load" on the virtual PLID (1 39 27, in this case).

I didn't know that command, I will try it next time - the user cracked the $#!@$ so I gave up and deleted her then re-provisioned her.
