Deploy new screen saver to all phones

Hi

We have an MiVB and a load of 5320 IP Phones.

I have a nice new screen saver to put onto all the phones. But does any one know how I can do this in the quickest way possible?

I can see that I can go to users and devices > User and services Configuration > choose a phone > go to Phone Applications and set the relevant screen saver.

But it will take me forever to do that on all our phones.

So if it is possible to set push it out to all phones, next, is it also possible to set it so that any new user/extension also gets the screensaver automatically?

Can't it be loaded on the TFTP server with a specific naming convention so that any phone of that style automatically downloads the new screen saver when it boots up?

That sounds a bit clever! So find which is the TFTP server, load the image, reboot all the phones...

Could someone elaborate on the TFTP method of setting a custom screensaver please? I am struggling to find anything.

Regardless of where the screensaver is stored, each device has have it assigned in its phone applications.
 
In v8, with the 6900 phones, the phones have a screensaver configured by default, so if you want to change it for all phones, you just upload your new screensaver with the correct filename, all phones will pretty quickly start displaying the new one.
With the 5300 phones, no such luck. With 1000 users, you need a patient monkey....

There is a specific filename structure for each phone type that is required. Unfortunately I do not have access to a 3300 to get that naming convention used on the TFTP server.

Is this just one controller? I would be tempted to try an import of users and services, added the value to all needed. Further, I would try one blanking all but this field and extension number field. My test system is being used so I can try it here now
