Downgrading isn't officially supported... Now, if you just need to change software versions on a controller and restore a MCD 4.2 database, that isn't a problem just go ahead and do a clean install and restore your database.

I have a controller, which has a few licensees with version MCD 8.
On the other hand, I have a SYSID who has a lot of licenses, but the version is 4.2
To use these licenses, I need to reduce the version, but I can not.

please guide me

As per acejavelin; run software installer for 4.2 and do a full install. Make sure you have a backup of the 4.2 database to restore and tell the software installer not to restore the 8.0 backup. let it complete and the restore the 4.2 backup. You will need to put the sysid chip from the 4.2 box into the new controller  nd make sure you have access to the licenceing server at mitel (AMC), otherwise it won't work.

Of course, if you have current software assurance, you can just restore the 4.2 database to the 8.0 machine... if you don't, might be worth it to think about re-enlisting and getting current.

What licences are they?
You can definitely either upgrade the 4.2 box to 8.0 then run the licence upgrade (forgotten what it's called - in AMC), or transfer the licences over from the 4.2 box to the 8.0 box then run the licence upgrade thing in AMC against the 8.0 box.
Licences I've done this with are users, mailboxes and ACD agents. Presumably digital trunk licences would be transferable too.
