Factory defaut RFP L35IP
« on: February 06, 2017, 07:18:59 AM »
Hello,

I have recovered three terminals RFP L35IP (don't have administrator password) I can not reinitialize them via the classic procedure (usb key with file factoryreset) indeed my OMM asks me to provide a cookie for the three terminals do you have an idea of the procedure?

Thank you

3.48 RFP RESET TO FACTORY SETTINGS

An RFP can be reset to factory settings using a USB flash drive with a file on it named “factoryReset”.
When the USB flash drive is plugged into the RFP, the RFP is reset to factory settings automatically.

The file is automatically removed from the USB flash drive during this process.

So just create an empty file with no extension and place it on the flash drive.

You need to give the cookie to Mitel Technical Support so they can generate the "Key" to  factory reset the RFP.

I contacted the support but in France it is necessary to go through a reseller and as I bought the terminals on occasion I can not have the keys for my three RFP L35IP, in short I do not see how to do!

I'm just curious, have you tried the default omm password?

When you do the USB factory reset, but they are using an older version, you should still get it to work.
Please try this: put the iprfp3G.dnld (say 6.0) file on the stick to update the RFP first.

Well, it is really tough not knowing why it isn't working. I have attached the factoryReset file from the Mitel KMS article. However, an empty one should have worked just the same. This file just has the steps if you open it in Notepad++ for example.

What else can you do?
Try different USB drives
Try the process on a working (6.0 or >) RFP to see if you can get it to work.

I try with another key (Kingston 8G Fat32) But nothing I specify that I have the problem on three RFPL35IP but if I test on a RFPL35IP of spare no problem the RFPL35IP reinitializes well and besides after rereading the USB key on my pc the factoryReset file is deleted.

I think this is the version installed on the terminal which must be too old ...

Yes ! i find the solution:

I upgrade my RFP to 4.0 version (FAT32 Key with only file iprfp3G.dnld), next to the 6.2 (FAT32 Key with only file iprfp3G.dnld) and i create file "factoryReset" on FAT32 usb KEY.

Thx
