mitel 500 automatic record a call.

has anyone setup automatic record a call. this is a mitel 500 with embedded vamil with 8568 sets. customer wants this to work.

The Mitel 5000 doesn't have a built-in Automatic Record-A-Call function; this is a manual function only without an Intelligent Router or other server being involved.

If you want to record the call manually then you need to:

1. Create the Record-A-Call Application in the Voice Processor.
2. Add the Record-A-Call Application to the users extension.
3. Either setup the user's phone to use its associated mailbox or user-dialed mailbox when the Record button it pressed.
4. Add a Record-A-Call button to the users extension.

Sell them on the Oaisys, trunk side recording, and that will solve the problem.
