auto dial on pickup
« on: April 08, 2015, 01:30:08 AM »
Can I somehow set things up so on a group of extensions, when the handset is lifted the phone auto calls an extension without having to press the numpad?
Basically we have an automated voice message that we want to play to a group of users, and present the menu (press 1 for x etc) to them without having to dial.
Similar to a hotel/room service setup without dialing 0 for the menu I suppose.

Yes if you look under the 'Associated Directory Numbers' form you can hotline an extension to call wherever you like when the phone goes offhook.

So I have a question that is sort of related to this question. When the phone is off hook, I get a dial tone for about 15 seconds then it auto dials to the operator or an extension. I have looked in the associated directory number and nothing is set to hot line, also this happens from any phone that is off the hook. Any ideas? Thanks

Look in the form "Intercept Handling".
