Recover Lost VMs
« on: January 11, 2015, 11:05:22 AM »
Recently did an extension renumbering for a client moving them from 3 to 4 digits.  While we did let their users know that this would result in their mailbox being re-initialized a few users did not remove their saved Voice Messages.  Is there any way to recapture these after the fact?

Thx

If you just re-numbered the existing extensions I think everything will still be there.

This is what I thought and during a very small test run was the case.  Turns out if you make the numbering changes live on the system no worries but if you make the changes to an offline copy bye bye voice mails.  I suspect that depending on which type of backup things might have been different but for me on this one it is too late.
