PKM48?
« on: September 11, 2013, 02:13:03 PM »
I'm missing something here.  Receptionist phone is a 5340.   I added a brand new PKM module v2  to it and plugged in the included jumper cable to the module. I punched out the cover for the PC connector.  I ran the included flat 8P8C cord from the PKM jack to the top 8P8C jack on the PKM module. Plugged the PC into the PC port.  The module v2 and console are brand new out of the box from Mitel.

In DB programming, I assigned Attached Device to be 'PKM' on that extension.  I went over to keymaps and assigned a few buttons to the DSS/PKM map assigned to that phone (default 1).

Plugged everything in, and the 5340 lights up fine. No sign of life on the PKM48. No response from buttons, no lights.

Can the the consoles be programmed through the web application?

Don't believe you can program PKM keys from web interface.
To make PKM work, must have
Keys programmed for a 48-key template in Key Assignments/DSS/PKM/PKM <number X>/Unit 1
Phone listed in Key Assignments/DSS/PKM/<Number X>/Phones
PKM shown as attached device within phone programming

If that's all done I'd try reseating the module, I've had connection issues on modules before

Thank you!  Removing and re-seating the module did the trick.
