SIP CPN not displaying
« on: May 18, 2013, 02:18:57 AM »
Hi Folks,

I have a problem with outgoing CPN on my SIP trunks on one of my Mitel Border Gateways. On one I can get the CPN to display on the called phone just like I want. On the other MBG all calls show as private at the receiving end. I did a trace and figured out why but I don’t know how to change it.

The reason one shows private and the other shows the CPN is because one is providing a number as the  CPN while the other is providing the word Anonymous as the CPN. The problem is I can’t figure out how or where to change this.

Here is the data in question:

Working:
Contact URI: sip:8662521050@192.168.100.10:5060;transport=UDP

Not Working:
Contact URI: sip:anonymous@192.168.123.224:5060;transport=UDP

Anyone have any idea how I change this so the CPN is provided instead of Anonymous?

Thanks,

I was fighting with similar issue yesterday when MCA ports were calling out and showing "Private" to the caller.

The From part of the INVITE messages was as following:
From: "MCA" <sip:anonymous@anonymous.invalid>;tag=0_1313594336-97633467

Finally I realized that the MCA ports were set with Privacy = Yes in User and Device Configuration.
