Basic reporting - automatically export PSTN call records
« on: September 10, 2012, 06:41:18 AM »
Hi,

We only have the basic reporting available in the 'Mitel System Administration & Diagnostics' tool.

What I am having to do daily is export the PSTN call records (Reporting > PSTN Call Records > [Select Date] > Export

Ideally, I would like to find a way of doing this automatically, without having to purchase the more expensive reporting. The reporting we have shows all we need, it is simply to save me doing this each day - just dumping a CSV file somewhere....

Lazy I know, but my memory is like a sieve!

Any help is appreciated!

Thanks,
Brad.

You can always just open any tab with Call Traffic (SMDR) and click the tools button and select "Start logging to file", as long as it is running it will keep dumping call records to a file.

Does the 5000 have the ability to print to an IP port like the 3300?

Nope... it requires some special handshaking to take place, that is why very few CCA software packages support the 5000, it requires a non-standard way of retrieving them from the controller.
