vMBG Incorrect Cluster Node ID
« on: August 29, 2022, 01:38:24 AM »
Hello everyone.  Spun up couple vMBG nodes with no problem.  Everything looks fine and working except for when I create a cluster. Both nodes read as mbg.mycompany.local.  That's not the FQDN of my nodes.  They are vmbg1.MyCompanyName.net and vmbg2.MyCompanyName.net.  They display correctly everywhere else (i.e. login info on top right corner, system information section, Domains section, Review Configuration section, host file, resolv.conf file, etc.).  I've been banging my head against the wall as to where that FQDN is coming from.  Short of re-spinning the VMs I've tried everything to no avail.  Any ideas?

Thanks.

I think that is in the tug.ini file. Not sure if you can edit it direct prior to clustering and have it change the name. Think that an override might stick though I think the file is in /etc/tu

It is set in the DB itself.

There is a KMS article about this issue.  HO2931
