Converting 6930 to SIP Firmware
« on: March 07, 2022, 01:51:10 PM »
Hi Everyone,

I have a Mitel 6930 and it is running firmware/software version 1.05.02.023 and I am trying to get this phone to an open SIP firmware.

1. Where can I download the firmware for the phone?
2. I have an auto provisioning template written for the phone already but was hoping I could convert the firmware to SIP and manually register the phone. Is that even possible?

The model is MINET_6930 c11(09)

Any help would be appreciated.

Thanks!

If you have a Mitel Account, then you should be able to get it from Software download. If not, you can google well enough to find some older versions of SIP firmware for Mitel 69XX to download.

Which SIP FW version are you looking for specifically?

Hi,

Thanks for the followup. I was able to get the 6920.st and 6930.st files and I am now running the following firmware on a third party SIP server

Firmware Version   6.1.0.146
Firmware Release Code   SIP
Date/Time   Oct 21 2021 21:54:05
Boot Version   Boot2 2.1.0.2 Oct 21 2021 21:50

Let me know if you guys have any questions, I forgot to let you know I was able to get access to the files.
