Converting a databas to an older version
« on: December 26, 2020, 08:40:14 AM »
Have a client that added a few more systems and we are connecting them.

Created a database with version 6.3.9.102 database software.

System is a release 6.3 SP2 Version 6.3.7.78

Coming up with a compatibility issue.

I look at my software version and I have the 6.3.0.3 database converter downloaded to my software.
Never used it, so I am just looking to see if I can get some guidance on how to downgrade my database to the older unit.

Thank you for any assistance you can provide and hope you had a Merry Christmas!

In general, databases do not need to be converted between minor revisions... any 6.3 database can be restored to any 6.3 software, the format of the database is identical within all major releases. You would only need to convert the database if you were crossing releases, like from 6.2 to 6.3 or 6.3 to 6.0
