Tui password
« on: January 24, 2018, 11:47:41 AM »
Hi guys.
I have an issue when i change the tui password from Micollab.
When i try to log (hotdesk)  in my 69xx phones : field to connect.
Currently i have to change the tui password then put the same pin in the user authentication menu in the vMcd.

I have no issue withe sync between micollab and vmcd

Any idea?

TUI Passcode
Set a passcode for the user's Telephone User Interfaces. This passcode allows the user to access voice applications, such as a (NP-UM) voice mailbox and is also used as the Hot Desk User Login PIN.

Note: The passcode that you enter in this field is distributed to the User PIN field in the User Configuration form on the MiVoice Business. Do not change the User PIN field on the MiVoice Business; otherwise, the User PIN and passcode will be out of sync.

It would seem that the sync is not working. What makes you think the sync is OK?
Distribution errors?
What does the reconcile wizard tell you?

sunspark,

I ran into this with Hotdesk ACD agents. They could log in no problem in the beginning, but as soon as they changed their password on their mailbox they could no longer log in with the passcode we gave them. If they used their voicemail passcode as their Hotdesk passcode everything worked as expected.

If you want to fix the issue you have to go into the MCD and blank out the application data and then go back and put in the hotdesk passcode that you want. I found it easier to just let the users know to use their mailbox passcode.

Thanks,

TE

Hi Tech,

When you change the tui password , it should change the Pin hotdesk + mailbox passcode

When user change the voicemail passcode , it should change the pin hotdesk.

You recommend to blank out the application data : you mean blank the user pin field ?

sunspark,

Yes, go into the MCD and look up the users phone service then go to Access and Authentication and change the User PIN to nothing and save. Then go in and change it to what you want it to be and save.

Thanks,

TE

Basically we do need to do two actions...

Maybe i should raise a case in mitel support?

For me when u change the tui from Micollab it should change the pin in the mcd.

On the face of it, it means the synch isn't working.
