Voicemail ports
« on: December 19, 2018, 12:38:15 PM »
Hello all
Just wondering if anyone knows of a way to monitor Voicemail port usage.

We have a site that uses AA + embedded call recording + general and User mailbox functions.

Our site had issues when callers dialled in and got the AA greeting but know options worked, then they didn’t for 2-4 test calls, then they did, etc.

All calls into the Mitel used out band DTMF so we know this wasn’t an option. We are thinking with the call volume at this time could it be no ports available

If you are a MSA member I believe you can create a simple application that connects to the PBX, monitors all the voicemail ports and reports actual state of each individual port.

Don't think it could be volume if they heard the greeting.

There is a maintenance command to look at the voicemail ports to give live status of each port. From memory it is a stat command and there are options to use. Check out maintenance command help which lists all these things.
