Mitel 5000 SIP Server
« on: March 08, 2016, 06:04:19 PM »
Hello there,
I have a MiVoice Office 5000 running version 6.0 SP3 PR3.  Our MAS server is running the Mitel Unified Communication Application which runs the UCA App on the IPhones.  All traffic is internal to the network and are all on the same IP range as the PBX and  the MAS.
We were running about 6 SIP soft phones on Mitel's IPhone app and they were working fine until recently.
Now i am unable to get them to register with the PBX.  They only seem to timeout and are not rejected.
At the same time, our UC360 conference Phone also began to fail to register as well.
No network changes have occurred, but the phones no longer function.
I have deleted one of the SIP phones and tried recreating them, with no effect.

When i do a wire shark capture, i do not see any SIP traffic.
I also tried connecting the UC360 directly to the AUX port on the 5000 with a POE injector to see if i could get it to register.
While the Phone connects to the DHCP and time Server, we still get nothing for registrations.

Anybody know why this might stop working, and what else i can try to to figure this out?

Thanks

Imperium1,

Go to System > IP Settings > Advanced IP Settings and see if the SIP UDP Listening Port Enable is set to Yes or No. If it is No then you will need to re-enable it and then do a system reset for it to take effect.

The other thing is to make sure that the Listening Port is still 5060.

Thanks,

TE

Yes, the SIP listening port in the Advanced settings is set to No. And the port is still set to 5060.

I thought this was used only if they were using an external SIP server.
I will reactivate it and restart the system and see if that fixes it.

Thanks.

Imperium1,

The 5000 is the SIP server for all of your internal phones for sure. If you have remote phones you could have a Mitel Border Gateway (MBG).

Thanks,

TE
