Linksys spa3102 receive faxes but does not send

Just tried 09-5159-00035 Linksys SPA8000 lineside.doc above and it worked with me for one time I could send a fax and next it is not sending anymore

I am wondering if it is to do with the SIP trunks rather that your config on the SPA and MCD.
Is there another fax you can test within the same MCD? Are your trunks G711 (uncompressed) I don't think fax will work if its G729.

our SP gave us these info for fax
*Use Audio Codec's G711-aLaw (uncompressed); G711-uLaw (uncompressed) & G729 (Compressed)
*Use T.38 For FAX

I enabled T.38 and using G711u

I wonder if I need to change anything in pabx in "fax service profiles" and "fax advanced settings" I left them as default, also do you think baud rate has any relation ?

T.38 needs licensing on the MCD.

we don't have T.38 cause we are using ISS, instead we use G711

I wonder if this has anything to do with it....."Note: A VEC module is required to support FAX over an IP network using G.711 pass-through."  but that is maybe just for a controller.

Does your provider support G711 both ways?

Is the Mitel asking for a T38 connection and of course can't get one and the resources are not there and the far end (your provider) is not responding correctly and therefore the call doesn't complete. It is not dropping back to G711.  Since it worked once I suspect this is the problem.

But after that I amn at a bit of a loss...

Hey look what else I found,
SPA2120 is basically the same as an SPA3102 except without the router component.

we took the fax machine and the spa unit to someone and waiting his reply he will test the fax and the spa
