Mitel SX200, SX2000, and older SX platforms / Line out of service message
« on: September 25, 2015, 10:01:04 AM »
I ran CCS trace one of our switches and noticed the following line

10:31:21 RI62 DAS 1A CRM/CIM ;9;*AA*LINE OUT OF SERVICE#

I checked the state of the trunk and it reports idle or busy with a call in progress.  Has anyone seen this and can explain why it should do this, I haven't seen it before.  Other trunks on this card show the same message but all trunks continue to take calls.
The system is MS2009 F-UK-00 edition SX.Q23.2.5

Hi Ralph it is an ISDN 30 link with BNC connectors.  I put a loop on the card and the error was still there so I have reloaded the card and it cleared, the link is now connected to the external trunk circuit and working OK.

I didn’t quite give you the full information yesterday.  Once the card is installed you will have to go to “System Configuration” form in edit mode, you can type the short cut from the command line “sys con”, look for the location where you inserted the card and you should see Installed card type, you will then need to select Programmed card type as ONS, then it should show in the single line set assignment form as my previous reply.

If I remember right, plug the card into the cabinet and make a note of the cab, shelf and slot, log into the CDE forms on the switch and select single line set assignment form from the single line set forms menu, scroll down the cab shelf slot column until you see the position you made a note of earlier it should show the card with empty directory number column, if you have gone in edit mode you can add the extension numbers you want and the other columns which on my switch are all 1
Good luck
Tony

Mitel SX200, SX2000, and older SX platforms / CEPT link failure
« on: June 23, 2015, 09:44:57 AM »
Our network provider has recently moved the delivery point for our E1/T1 links on their network to a different switch and now when I check the link with the dts re PLID command I get "Link is not available, which speaks for itself but this is followed by "relay test failed" can anyone tell me what this is referring to.
I am running MS2009-F-UK-00 Edition SX.Q23.2.5 on an SX2000 lite.

Can the number of hops assigned to a trunk group connected to a DPNSS circuit be changed dynamically without have to do a card or system reset?

Mitel SX200, SX2000, and older SX platforms / pausing a speedcall
« on: October 23, 2014, 09:11:45 AM »
When setting up a speedcall is it possible to put a pause in the actual number to give a couple of second pause before continuing, similar to what we could do by putting a , in a modem string.
What I would like to do is set up a speedcall on a remote switch to enter the direct trunk access code followed by the trunk number then the digits on the trunk and I think I may need a pause between the trunk number and digits.
I am running an SX2000 Lite with SX.Q.23.5

Ralph
Thanks for the reply, I tried some stat commands but nothing came up.  Do you know if the power supply detects cabinet temperature and turns the fan on when needed or should it run continuously?

Mitel SX200, SX2000, and older SX platforms / Faulty Power supply
« on: August 27, 2014, 08:22:04 AM »
I have an SX2000 DSU cabinet with a faulty power supply, it kept cycling off and on which when checked remotely appeared to be a card fault but the only way I could diagnose the problem was to go to site, the clue being that the fan was stopped and the whole cabinet was power cycling.
This raises the question is there a maintenance command that can be used remotely to determine the condition of the power modules in the cabinets?

Thanks for that I'll gice it a go

When using the dtatst re command on one of the trunks I am seeing a high number of avg re-trans and mode re-trans typically 23 and 35 per hour, at what point should I be getting concerned and what is this telling me, is it something I should report to my telco.
The duty cycle is 100% and no other errors.
I am running SX-2000 Call Control 34.2.2.15

Finally got this sorted I eventually found that the cellphone company owned the circuit so I couldn't raies a call, and at the end of the day the cellphone company found a fault on their kit and did something but didn't tell me what but never mind it's working again, thanks again for your help.

Thanks Ralph I've raised a call with the circuit provider and the cell phone company, waiting for their response.
