My feeling is that you would be able to backup/restore the ISS to the vMCD. It's the exact same software/OS.

I think the best idea would be to call Mitel tech support just to be sure.

Had this issue with a canadian provider. When international calls are sent to the CO, the PBX can send type of number field to "International" or send the prefix "011" in the number field in the D channel... Not both!

You could try to set type of number for international calls to unknown in the Mitel 5000
Go in System --> Controller --> (PRI card and slot) --> Call Type and select unknown to International Station Calls.

Are you talking about the new KX-NS0154 basestations? I think they use proprietary signalling with the panasonic PBX so I don't think they'll work with any other PBX.
I know panasonic have some other single cell DECT with SIP based signalling that work fine on Mitel PBXs.

Try to create a ring group and add the SIP extension. I think SIP devices will receive RG identity instead of caller id.

From what I know, maintenace commands won't help. I always had to use ACD reporting software such as Mitel Contact Center to know which agents are logged in.

Yes!
Sometimes, MiTAI moniors seems to stop for some users.
Refresh line monitor cache in the UCA server. There's a small icon for that in the PBX tab. UCA server will then create a MiTAI monitor on the 3300 for each extension.
Also, I think there's an option to automatically refresh line monitors each night. Look in the PBX configuration in UCA server

Analog trunks does not have answer supervision. For EHDU to work, the Mitel controller has now way to know if the user answered on his cell phone.

In the EHDU class of service, enable "Hot Desk External User – Answer Confirmation" option. The user will have to dial a DTMF key on his cell phone if he wants to answer the call.

From my experience, that's the only way to go with analog trunks.

We have a bunch of vMCDs with no problem. Looks like someone modified VM hardware settings or ressource reservations.

I would definitely deploy the OVA a second time, restore data and see how it goes.

Yes, some people know the extension number so they would dial it from the main auto attendant. They would like to block it and transfert the call to the receptionnist.

Hi everyone,
A customer asked us to configure call screening for some extension. They would like calls to be transfered to the receptionnist hunt group when some extensions are dialed from the main CRA. Next, receptionnists would transfert the call to the boss (or not!).

How would you program this?

Had to reboot a 5000 only once to fix a problem related to SIP. Otherwise, we do not program scheduled reboots. We have some systems with an uptime of 2 years or more with no issues.
