I have first alternatives set up and the index for the extension in question is set to that number (number 2 in this case). its till not working though. this is a ring group extension if that makes any difference?

hi all,

Pretty new to mitel management and im trying to figure out how to attach a mailbox to a direct line for our finance team. I have created the mailbox and that works for their extension however not if your ringing in externally using their ddi. any help would be greatly appreciated.

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Manual Pickup for external calls

Hi All,

I have a member of our admin team that is wanting to have the option to manually accept a call from an external line., e.g if an external call is coming in, she wants the option to pick up the handset but not for the call to be automatically answered.

Does anyone know which option this would be within the mitel controller?

Thanks for the reply, however i dint seem to have the option in the admin console for system>trunk related. Also i am unable to find an option called 'trunk related' anywhere.

Hi TE

Im referring to a DID/DDI that people can call from the outside. We use a SIP connection so thought it would have been under Trunks > SIP but no such joy

Hi All,

I am wanting to set up a direct dial and use that number as a ring group. I understand how to set up a ring group however i have never done this with a direct dial before.

Could anyone help me /point me in the right direction with where to find and configure direct dials?

Does anyone have a quick guide to setting a direct dial up on a mitel controller? I've recently taken over a mitel system and im not 100% sure on this.

Thanks for the link. it seems as though that guy was having a similar issue however the option on my mitel for avoid signalling hold to the peer is already set to yes.

Hi,

We are having a mitel issue in our school where by when a user puts a caller on hold they are then unable to get the caller back off hold and instead ends up hanging up on the caller.

Any thoughts or suggestions on how to rectify this issue or where to look?
