During a failover the system switched to resilient mcd, how does one force things back (especially an E1) onto the primary mcd?

There's something else you can do.
1) Pick up a stand alone MWI light from someplace.  You may want to look at Sandman.
2) Connect the light to an analog port on the PBX.  Give it an exten.
3) In the NuPoint you can set up a FCOS with a "Broadcast Message Waiting".  Give that FCOS to the DN of the Attendant key.
4) Create a mailbox for the new analog extension you created in step 2.
5) Put that mailbox in list 1 of the the Attendant key.

Now when you leave a vm for the attendant key it will light the light on the stand alone MWI button.

Although I couldn't apply it because I'm not on site, it's an excellent workaround as always Ralph, thanks again.

What I ended up doing:
1. Create a single line appearance w/ an associated NuPoint mailbox (3000)
2. Forward calls when console does not answer to that single line
3. Program a softkey on phone 2000 as a Message Waiting Indication for 3000

Now when the console doesn't answer, the voicemail is left with 3000, which then lights up the softkey and notifies the user of a new message.

Would still love to know if anyone's used the NuPoint Paging/Message Delivery option successfully.

Using ICP 3300 (Release 6.0) with NuPoint, we have an attendant console with an assigned general mailbox (let's call it 1000)
The person responsible for that mailbox needs to be notified on her phone (let's call it 2000) when messages are left in mailbox 1000.

The problem is that on the 3300, a Message Waiting Indicatorcannot be set for a DN assigned to an attendant soft key.

While researching, one of the features I found in NuPoint is something called Message Delivery (under the mailbox Msg Waiting tab / Paging feature)
Has anyone used this? Or alternatively, any creative suggestions to allow MWI for this scenario?

Ralph, it's on the prime line.
jrg, the COS for the associated trunks also had the proper permissions/options.

Currently suspecting this COS option to be the culprit:

Select "Yes" to display the extension user's name and extension number on calls to an external hot desk user. The default (No) displays the public identity (i.e., the  corporate telephone number) of the outgoing trunk.
CLID for internal calls to EHDUs is supported on PRI or SIP trunks.

I'll update the thread if this fixes the issue.

I haven't used release 7 yet so I'm sorry to say I cannot answer with confidence, but if your intention is to re-enter an updated list of users, then perhaps you can export the user list, modify it as necessary in Excel, then save and import it, overwriting pre-existing entries in the process.

Are these inbound calls to DID's that ring straight to extensions? Are they ringing into a group or path that may be using another COS? Are they front ended by another device that may be using another COS (NuPoint, IVR, etc...)? Is the inbound call traversing a Mitel network between controllers (Ntwk COS)?

Hey, both internal and external-originating calls do this. The answer to your other questions is no.
We're doing our testing from one internal extension to another (No DID involved), and the calling # only displays after the phone is off hook.

I was fairly sure it would be COS related, and I've updated the COS like I'd attached in my original post, for both the devices(phones) and the trunks.

Hola helpful community,

So my users have complained that caller ID only displays after they pickup the phone.
We're using software version 6.0, I've gone through the COS options used for the users, and my settings look ok (see attachment)

Am I missing something?

As August said, prior to rls 6 you had to hit the line button then the envelope button.  It would ring what ever lit the light.
What exactly is your client saying is happening when they do that?

They're getting ring/no answer, which I'm guessing means a callback to a # with no voicemail, and obviously at the time no one available to pickup.

I'm trying to fully understand what you are asking. You are trying to make an extension go to voice mail on a busy/no answer condition?

I was talking about the "envelope" key that's on Mitel's 5330 phone series. This key could be configured under release 6 but not release 5. When configured correctly, the key would both notify a user they have a message waiting & call the VM hunt group when pressed.

There is no way to go directly to the voicemail before rls 6 with the envelope Key.  You have to press the line key then the envelope if this one is flashing. 

If they are using visual voicemail, then I think it's possible but it as to be setup first.

Fair enough, we didn't use visual voicemail either so I think it's just a matter of a user not recalling the full details.

Hi there,

Running a Mitel MCD 3300 with release 5 software on it, and trying to find out where to access the configuration for the envelope/MWI key on the 5330e phone.
I know on release 6 software, the settings was under Call Routing / Call Handling / Call Coverage Services.

Is there an equivalent for that on release 5?
My client is insisting the button only recently stopped routing to our voicemail hunt group.
