One suggestion I saw was the block the re-register caller using your call history. It's not supposed to affect how calls are forwarded to your phone.
We have server version 8.1.2.8 and client version 9.1.375.  I'm not really in the mood to go through a phone system upgrade just for this minor issue.

I've had a strange ongoing issue with our Mitel 5000 and Enhanced Integration for voicemail. A user receives an email in Outlook with the voicemail message attached as a WAV file. They forward that email to another user. That user sees it appear in the Outlook Inbox...and then the email disappears. It doesn't go to Deleted Items or anywhere else we can find. It just disappears. I've had multiple users reports this, and it's always when an email has been forwarded from another user.

Could this be the Mitel 5000 checking the user's Inbox, seeing a voicemail message that is not on the server and then deleting the email from Outlook? Even though the email came from someone else? I am somewhat able to recreate this by leaving myself a voicemail, seeing it appear in my Inbox, deleting it from the voicemail server (not from Outlook) and seeing it disappear from Outlook.

It's an Exchange 2007 server.

We have enhanced synchronization working for the clients on the same network as the Mitel 5000. I am now trying to get it working for some users who are on another network (and another e-mail server). I've filled out the e-mail sync page with the correct server name, username, password, etc.  IMAP port 143 is open on both firewalls. The closest I'm getting is the Mitel will in fact deliver the voicemail to the recipient's inbox. But it's not synchronizing once the user has marked the mail as read or deleted it. The phone still flashes the message light and the display shows there is one new message.

The recipient's email server only has a self-signed cert on it. That is why I am using synchronization with SSL turned off (port 143). Is SSL for E-mail Server Connection required to get this to work fully? And does that require a third-party cert?

Our 5000 is having issues doing voicemail to email for one particular user. The user can receive email from internally and externally, so I feel good about the Exchange server. And Enhanced Integration is working for my 70+ other users. But no emails ever get through to this one person. I've tried turning it off/on, re-entering credentials, and even recreating voicemail box.

I set the mailbox for "Forward & Copy" and then pulled up the mail logs for the 5000. Here's what I see. Any suggestions? I'm totally baffled at this point, especially since it works for everyone else.  :-\

Mitel Software Applications / Re: UCA won't connect with Windows 8.1

I am not using Teleworker at all. I realize it's a bit presumptuous to expect UCA to work with Windows 8.1, but I thought it'd be fine since it worked with Windows 8.

Mitel Software Applications / UCA won't connect with Windows 8.1
« on: July 20, 2013, 07:36:36 PM »
I am running the preview of Windows 8.1 and UCA 5.1.33.0. When I try to log into UCA, I get "An unknown error occurred when validating credentials". It happens both on the LAN and via Internet.

I have the correct server in there, as well as the correct username and password. No problem with UCA under Windows 7. I think it worked under Windows 8.

Anyone else testing Windows 8.1 running into this?

johnp had to correct solution. I clicked on the Collaboration tab under UCS and then clicked on my MCA server.  I noticed it showed MCA Client Version as 5.1.x, while version 1.7.8.0 was installed on our computers. I clicked the “Sync Now” button and it changed MCA Client Version to 1.7.8.0.  I clicked Save.

Then I closed UCA on my machine, opened it back up and was not prompted to install Collaboration.

We're running 64-bit Windows 7.

yes, everything was running on one server and still is. I do not believe a virtual server was being used, as both UCA and AWC were using the same ip addresses and DNS hostname.

When we had UCA 4.X, it did prompt to install the Collaboration Client the first time. But it did not do so after that initial install. Now it wants to install Collaboration Client every time.

Our telecom vendor just upgraded our UCA to version 5.1.27. Once users log into UCA, they are prompted to upgrade the Collaboration Client. That upgrade appears to go fine. But the next time the user opens UCA, they are asked to upgrade again....and again....and again. It prompts to upgrade every time UCA is opened.

Going into my Programs, I see I have UCA 5.1.27 installed and Mitel Collaboration Advanced Client 1.7.8.0 installed. On the MAS server, it shows version 4.0.2.14-1 of Mitel Collaboration Advanced installed.

I'm using the same host name for both UCA and MCA portal. It worked fine when we had UCA 4.x . Maybe that is causing a problem now?
