What kind of firewall? This issue is more then likely audio ports not being allowed through or SIP settings not being enabled in the firewall. SIP is only call setup so yes 5060 might be allowed through but what about the 5000 audio ports that can be used?

Enterprise licensing is more than anything terminology for a mult unit license. You are correct now they are combined as it use to be user and device licensing. SIP trunk and user licenses have been around for many releases.

There is not really a timer to effect this I believe it is how it is sending the headers. PM me your SIP Peer Profile and I might be able to suggest some changes.

Do you see the streams coming across in Contact Center Client?

You would be correct that they are misleading unless they have changed it recently.

A Mitel VAR that sold you the unit will be the only ones able to see it from Mitel perspective. You can have another VAR obtain the record but it is a lot of work. What does it show for licensing under system capacity?

Did you add this controller to your trusted sites that will typically resolve the issue.

DSP II is the module installed inside the controller to allow for compression and T38. This is a board sold seperately. Shouldn't lose licensing between upgrades check your app record on amc and see if they are there or not.

An enterprise license correct me if I am wrong if for a multiple controller deployment site. As far as licensing on the multitech you would buy a unit and then you would need a DSP II and T38 licenses and SIP Trunk Licenses for the Site.

IE

Remote 1 - 1 Fax and 1 Phone
Remote 2 - 1 Fax and 1 Phone

2 Multitechs, 1 DSP II, 2 T38 Licenses, 2 SIP Trunks

Of course that is bare bones and could be configured differently. While a local trunk would be cheaper up front a deployment like this would save over the long haul.

I have used them multiple places.

Easiest in the remote shops would be something like a multitech/multivoip they are capable of t38 and have varying port capacity.

And if you static the phone and plug it directly into your pc can you ping it? You can set the tftp server to your local machine but sounds like it might be hardware related at this point. Did they possibly get unplugged during a flash cycle? Mitel would replace the ROM inside the phone or reflash.

Well I was going to say a factory reset would solve it but since you tried that obviously through the tools menu then I would then suggest to either static a phone or set into teleworker mode by holding the 7 key on boot then entering the ip of the controller. This should force it to the tftp server and get rid of sticky paramaters. Typically a factory reset will clear them.

DHCP very bad. That is one thing I have noticed with many firewalls that claim to be SIP aware. The issue arrises when it transitions from public to private it does not keep the same port numbers and I would highly suggest to use Ingates line of products for SIP deployment. If you want to send me your SIP Peer Profile I might be able to make some suggestions on what to try but more then likely it is a known issue in most firewalls. NAT is a SIP killer.

If they are working it is a success should be just like most other firewalls. I would make sure to test the wide range of calling as I have seen some that appear to be working but things like conference calling or forward external don't work.
