Just checked MOL, it's actually there on the announced release date. Been a while since that's happened. Do I dare load it in my lab?

If it's there on the release date then usually within a day or two it's pulled due to a major bug ::) ::) ::)
If it comes out a few days late, then usually it wont have a major bug.
Well that's just my view on it based on past releases!

I installed the relese 8.0 in my lab and tested some of the new features, but it seems the Call Pickup Display does not work correctly. Could anybody retest it before I write to Mitel, please?.
In the system administration help there is "To complete the pickup, press Pickup or the Call Pickup feature access key again.". When I enter the "Call Pickup - Dialed" FAC the phone shows the caller but when I enter the FAS again nothing happens.

Some of these feature require the key to be used... try it with an actual key programmed with the feature or use the softkey, the FAC may not perform the exact same function.

I tested this already, the programmed Pickup key works just fine when pressed the 2nd time.

Are you guys already dealers or partners with Mitel in some way??
How do you go about establishing that relationship? My boss and I are starting to look into doing the install and configuring ourselves.

Hi Ian, yes, in our case, we are Mitel partner. Regarding out Mitel history it is a long story ;-). For you probably the best way is to contact Mitel and ask them about options.

Has anyone come across other issues on this release other than what's mentioned above?
We're still running 7.2 on the majority of our systems which we find to be very stable.

I still hope that somebody will test the issue with the pickup FAC I described earlier. We have upgraded our virtual MiVoice Business to 8.0 already and did not find any issue, except some missing links in the online help. Probably tomorrow we will upgrade our company CX. I will retest the pickup then.
