MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Limit number of inbound calls

Using NexVortex for SIP calls, there are a total of five lines.  I would like to restrict inbound calls to three. NexVortex is unable to do this, they say I have to do it on my phone system.

Which option do I need to change on the phone system to limit the number of inbound calls to three?

Has anyone heard how much longer they'll be supporting the 5000/250?  I have a client that's looking to buy one, but I don't want to push them to this platform if it's going to go away before long.

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Funky message notification

I have a user at x1762 that's getting a message notification for x1180.  I assumed MB1180 was set to tell x1762 when it had a message, but that's not the case, it's set to x1180 as it's supposed to be.

Other than the "message notification phone", where should I look?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / No Audio / general system slowness

We're fighting an issue where random calls have no audio, or the phone keeps ringing after it's been answered.  This applies to both IC calls and external calls.  Our vendor has replaced all of the guts in the phone system and we've opened several tickets with Mitel, but they appear to be getting no where.

Because of the fact this is happening to IC calls, it can't be a carrier issue.

CPU usage and memory usage are normal

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Use DEE to send call to hunt group

I have a user that wishes to send unanswered calls to our sales staff.  I suggested we use DEE to do this, but do not see where you can send a call directly to the HG.  So, I created a phantom and told it to forward all calls immediately to the sales HG.

I then went into DEE and added another step....step one rings his desk phone and cell phone, step two rings the phantom, and step three is VM.

We tested this and the HG was never rang...did I miss a flag?  Is this supposed to work?

If I call outbound over SIP, I don't get a ring tone...it's silent until it connects.

The vendor has asked me to check and see if "SDP Early" is enabled...where would I find that?

I'm wondering if the phone system stores a log of the path a call took...I have someone asking why a call was routed to a certain spot, and rather than stepping through programming, I'd like to pull up the log and have the phone system tell me what happened.

I have a user who's phone will display notifications for two mailboxes...one is his personal, the other is a group mailbox.

How does the system determine which indicator should take priority?  Is there a way to change the default behavior?

I had a user complain yesterday that their phone would still ring in with a hunt group call when they had another call on hold.  This seems like normal behavior to me, but I told her I'd ask to see if that was a behavior that could be controlled.

So, is it possible to tell the system  NOT to ring a phone while another call is parked on hold?  The user was signed into a hunt group call and the call that came in was from the same hunt group.

I know this is a forum for the 5000, but I was hoping someone had experience with this issue.

I have a Spectralink 6020 that's stuck in DND...I looked through the manual, but I didn't find anything.

How do I get it out?

Once in a while, we have an outside caller that manages to punch in the "all phones" extension in the phone system and rings every phone in the building.

Is it possible to "lock down" access to this?

MiVoice Office 250/Mitel 5000 / Odd problem with external phone

I have a sales guy who works from home.  Ever since the upgrade to the latest version of 6.1 on Tuesday, when someone calls him, he's unable to hear you, but you can hear him.  If you call back, everything works fine.  This happens on both external and internal calls.  I've toggled the NAT setting on the phone system, but haven't tested to see if it helped. 

We are not using MGB

Anyone have any suggestions?

Years ago we used the Bria client with the 5000 with zero issues.

Today the CEO wanted to use his new S7 with the client, but I've had zero luck in getting it to work

Does anyone know if something has changed with the new Bria client and the newer versions of the 5000?  (We're on 6.1_PR1)

Has anyone used the Mitel Boarder gateway service?  If so, can you provide your experiences and why you used it instead of your normal firewall?  I've read over the marketing stuff from Mitel and it doesn't seem to match what one of the techs says it can do.

Any experiences welcome.
