Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Re: Managing Admin users on 3300 MCD/ICP

Unless the ICP is an SX-200, MCD and ICP are pretty much interchangeable terms.

On the 3300/MCD, you can use the System Administrator Policies and User Authorization Profiles forms to do exactly what you're asking about. System Administrator Policies will let you create/modify specific system administration profiles, and fine tune the access each profile has to each form in ESM. You can then apply those policies to individual admin users in User Authorization Profiles. Good practice would be to have a standard "root" account with complete access, then assign only what's needed to specific user accounts that should be the only logins used for each administrator.

Hi Lundah,

Sorry for the late response, I just went through your instructions and it worked liek a charm, thanks for your help :)

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Managing Admin users on 3300 MCD/ICP
« on: February 17, 2017, 11:17:49 AM »
Hello everyone,

I have two Mitel systems, an MCD v 4.0 SP4/10.0.4.1 and an ICP about same software level as the MCD

My question is how to manage the admin user account used to login on the management web interface, we do have just a single user account shared by all the team and we would like now to personalize the logins

Where to reset the password of an existing login and how to create a new login, also is there different levels of admin privileges (superadmin, admin, readonly, etc...) ?

Thanks

Sounds like you didn't put them in the same Class of Service as the other phones. Check the COS of an existing phone and set the new one to match, I would bet these things will magically start working.  ;D

Worked like a charm  ;D
Thank you

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / New User Setup Issues
« on: January 12, 2016, 08:46:18 AM »
Hello everyone,

I'm having issues when setting up new users, all our existing users have "Phone Book" button programmed on the top button of the Mitel 5330 IP set, when I create new users this button is missing, any idea how to create it along with a new user?

Also another issue is that new users are not able to dial directly an extension from the dialing pad, they need to pick up first to get the dialing tone to be able to dial any number while all existing users get the dialing tone as soon as they dial a number on the pad.

btw I'm on a 3300 MCD 10.0.4.14

Thanks guys

Finally managed to fix, I associated a phone set with this extension, booted the phone up, entered the feature code to cancel all forwardings and now it is not forwarding anymore.

Thanks everyone for your help

I guess I can do that as a last resort action, do you reckon there's a glitch somewhere causing the call forwarding to be active and not showing up ?

It says : The number refers to a 5330 IP.

I'm attaching the user configuration form for this extension

Thansk Jason for your suggestions, much appreciated.
I just did that and called the extension from my desk phone and here is the output

 12/23 15:16:50  0000:00:18 7079    **** 8600                      I 8600                                  002
 12/23 15:17:06  0000:00:05 7079    **** P757 759                  I P757                                  002

Note that my extension is 7079, the extension I dialed is 7164 and 8600 is the hunt group number
You can see the extension I dialed doesn't even show on the log

Hi JasonTL and thanks for the reply

Points 1, 2 and 3 were already checked and nothing was found that would have suggested a call forwarding/speed call was enabled/assigned.
Just checked if it was a ring or hunt group and it is not

Thanks

Mitel MiVoice Business/MCD/3300 / Call forwarding Issue
« on: December 23, 2015, 02:08:04 PM »
Hey guys

As you can see I'm new here, I recently inherited temporarily the administration of Mitel 3300 ICP and MCD systems - with no real PBX admin knowledge as my background is more on sysadmin/storage side - as the previous guy left without proper handover and though I managed somehow to deal with the daily requests/tasks I'm now struggling with the following issue:

I have on MCD v 4.0 SP4/10.0.4.14 an extension that is forwarding calls to a Hunt Group, I'm trying to figure out where the call forwarding is enabled but no way
The extension is not assigned to any IP phone set (No mac address defined on user configuration), it doesn't have any feature enabled on it, checked call rerouting assignment and everything is set to 1
Any idea where I can find out how to disable the call forwarding on this extension ?

Thanks
