Hi all
a couple of questions regarding Mitel SIP DECT and Open mobility Location
WE are developing an interface to the Mitel SIp DECT for an alarm server, and I want to use the OML application to group handsets into teams using the description fields for portable parts.
This is something i believe is done on the training courses (I am a Mitel Orange or ShoreTel Tech) but i cannot work out where in the directory structure the Message task XML file should be located on the OML Server and if this is additional to the omlconfig xml or within the omlconfig.xml .
I have tried both in the var/lib/oml folder and also in the Catalina/work folder, to no avail. I want to get something like this attachment

HI
We have acquired a demo system to do some development work on nursecall messaging
I can change the IP address in the 430 but i can not find where to change the IP address of the DECT Base stations (there are three in a cluster)
If I change the address of the OMM on the 400 it doesnt change it, i have had a look at the CFG file but it doesnt seem to provide the IP address's of the base station
any help would be appreciated and i am a 400 novice

Mitel Software Applications / Re: Mitel Connect and Outlook

Sounds Like (ShoreTel Client) MiVoice Connect Client
and the password previously used is no longer valid

If you have the PC app running
Click on the Down Arrow next to the word connect
Select Settings
Select Outlook
If checked  uncheck Sync my exchange calendar
uncheck Sync my outlook contacts
The above is if you do not use them

Or if you are using AD and SSO re-sync the AD

you can find the Version of ShoreTel your are using by logging into Director
Once logged in you will see the Build version at the Top right hand side underneath you login name.
Not sure what you mean by Auto Dial string please provide more detail of what you wish to accomplish

HI

We are Developing an Interface (ATAS) from the Mitel 400 to our software, for Connection of Nurse Call systems and Fire Panels etc.
we have messaging of patient /Emergency / Duress Alarms being received by the DECT Phones, but the problem is the Ring or Alert Tones are not (i am not sure this is the correct phrase) Serious enough  ;D
Is it possible to upload ringtones to the DECT Phones (Specifically the 622 and 632 or to the Mitel 400?
I have looked but cant find anything that says you can

Shoretel - MiVoice Connect / Re: Cloud Connect

Without wanting to sound Biased  :D
The Slow down came when Mitel Purchased ShoreTel, and it is across the board with regard to their Web interfaces SSO to MiAccess is much slower than the ShoreTel Equivalent, although I guess there are many more people using it.
In Australia ShoreTel / Mitel is sold as a cloud solution by Telstra (The National Carrier) and you are restricted to who you get your lines from currently, and I would say the take up is starting to speed up as the roll out of the National Broadband nears completion  (National Broadband is fibre to the premise and Node in some cases)

Although this is an old post, I am a new member so thought I should reply
I have been in Telecoms since 1984/5 When the Post Office became British telecom in the UK.
At that Time many small companies popped up doing the same systems as BT but for less money :-)
I am talking about London Telephone systems, GPT interline Philips KBX and Blick, some of these were programmed with a Wire hook on / Off  ;D
The company I worked for got ISO 9000 for installation maintenance and PCI (Pre Connection inspections -usually carried out by BT at COST)
and we moved onto Panasonic, Toshiba, Onyx, and others, The Company also acquired the Philips Base for the UK which trebled the size of the company overnight almost.
I ended up as the Nation Service manager, but left to work for Telecoms Equipment distribution company, there I was Seconded to TSC (Formerly Philips) to train installers and maintainers of the new TSC systems.
Then Came Siemens and the Enterprise sized Hicom / Hipath range, which included maintenance visits for the British Embassy's world wide. A transfer to Siemens AUS followed, and an Acquisition of the field service staff by Commander (becoming Commander Enterprise)
12 years ago I Left Commander (just before they went bump) and moved to Tasmania, where I now Reside with ShoreTel and Avaya as my only systems we work on,
Mainly ShoreTel in which I am certified for UC / ECC / and as a Solutions Architect. However a new chapter is opening with Mitel 400 and the ATAS link as we are looking to integrate with our software for Nursecall messaging
In short I have worked on to much for tool long  ;D ;D ;D

Shoretel - MiVoice Connect / Re: Cloud Connect
« on: July 08, 2019, 08:22:16 PM »
Hi
I am new here and come from a ShoreTel Background rather than Mitel
MiCloud Connect is ShoreTel in the Cloud and the main reason Mitel Acquired Shoretel.
when you "buy" MiCloud Connect you in essence get a web portal for Configuration and phones that connect via the Data center.
It is almost the same as premise based with a few exceptions
you can combine Hosted and Premise based (Hybrid) for things like Contact centers
What sort of information are you looking for ?
happy to supply what i know

Hi

I am a ShoreTel sorry Mitel Dealer who has been asked to look at Mitel 400 specifically the ATAS interface for connection to our Software for messaging.
To that End my knowledge of the MiVoice 400 is little to non existent. but I often find that forums are the best places to find out the stuff you actually need to know
I see that there is a Shoretel /MiVoice Connect Section so would be more than happy to contribute where i can
So I thought an introduction was the right thing to do :-)
