I have implemented AD with Ops and speech server on a site. Nupoint will be next.

What did you need to know?

Integrating Ops with AD is good and can go well installing as long as the AD tree is constructed properly. Ops can only search one folder in the AD, therefore all the whole AD enviroment will all need to sit in 1 OU and not the root directory, like most AD's.

Pro's:
1. Keeps the whole corp directory in sync
2. With integration to Ops and Speech server, you spend less time programming

Con's:
1. If the ops side is not kept upto date in terms of processing the detained users, it gets very messy
2. it can get complecated is the AD is not setup properly
3. you may find that the delete integration will not work, however, Mitel 3rd line is looking at this.

Only 1 OU you have got to be kidding me.

This is going to suck.

Can it search from the root if they have more than one OU?

My apologies for not explaining myself properly, In the AD, for opsman to work correctly you have to have 1 main OU with all the other OU's within this one.

The Opsman cannot search from the root, but can search from the one OU, and then all the other OU's with that one.

I hope this makes sense.

Whew you kind of freaked me out there.

That really surprises me that it cant do a search from the root of the AD.

I have a feeling this is going to be a big pain in the ass.
