Hi I just wonder if someone can explain the different between

Setup Micollab client by using Minet Softphone type with MBG using 5020 IP device type in MCD

Setup Micollab client by using UC Endpoint as device type in MCD

When I use micollab client to log in I dont see much different

certainly I believe the license is different but not too sure if any benefit of using either of those?

main difference is that the MiNet one is the softphone option (outside of MiCC's own softphone) for call centers. Simply put, if you have ACD you MUST use this MiNet one.

secondly the MiNet does NOT offer point to point video whereas the SIP one does.
The MiNET one is not supported on the MiCollab mobile but the SIP one is and can be used either on the laptop or mobile or both.

There are a few other's but I can't find my notes on them...I'll keep looking

In that setup, unless yo have MDUG licenses (included in all UCC bundles) you are consuming two IP device licenses.
By having just SIP, you can "activate" the same number on both devices. Also if you are outside of corporate network, you will need multiple TW llicenses. Again if you have UCC license bundles, this is typically included for a two or three devices depending on your license level

Yes, this may have licensing concerns. I set this up for myself for testing. If you set your self as a hotdesk you can log into a Minet softphone that has a device only license as well as a deskset

you cannot use this with mobile device

AND you can use it as a hotdesk base ;) With sip you cannot
