Issues With MXe Not Booting with a DSP II Installed?
« on: September 14, 2010, 01:22:48 PM »
Has anyone had any issues with an MXe not booting with a DSPII installed?

I have a brand new controller (second one, tech support declared 1st DOA because of this) that will not boot with a DSPII installed. I have tried with it in slots 4-6 with same results. I know the card works because it will boot in another MXe that I have in my lab.

I have attached a text capture of the boot process, the good stuff is at the end.

I would assume that tech support verified that the version of software you are using is compatible with the DSPII.

I would lay odds it's a faulty DSP.   Have you tried a different DSPII?

MCD 4.1 SP2

The DSPII works in another controller. I have another DSPII that is new and it does the same thing.

The other controller is running MCD 4.1 no SP

Looks like the dual T1 cards may be causing this. Controller boots fine with the DSPII and without the T1 cards. Trying with one T1 now to see if it is a single card causing the issue or if it is the combination of the two card types.
