Missing Key Labels on 6940 Phone

Has anyone else expierence issues when swapping out a 53xx phone for a 6940?
It seems like the button labels disappear.  It's in programming but does not show on phone.
So far I've seen the issue on
Keysystems
Single lines
Speed dials.

I just found out from my customer that they deleted their old phone and them programed the 6940 from scratch.

Hi Ralph,
do you have 8.0 SP1 installed? There are some changes and fixes for 69xx phones, I think.

No.  It's not installed yet.
I was able to resolve it by changing the phone type to 5340 and then back again.

Hello, having the same issue.  The 6930 registers because mac address shows up in the device details, it goes through all motions but then there are no labels and no dial tone.  The fact that it is registering is what is throwing me off, it has an IP and boots normally, so I'm at a loss.  Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Did you change it to a 6940 and back?

Yes tried twice, mac address goes away, then comes back after changing and letting the phone reconnect.  It looks like it is going to come up but we just get the boxes for the labels, also there is no dial tone.

I had the same issue and changing the phone type to 5340 and changing back did work for me.
