Dial external contact from client
« on: May 22, 2017, 01:29:43 PM »
We have set up anew system and slowly rolling out the MiCollab desktop client for users. One issue we have run in to is trying to dial a contact that was imported from Outlook. The calls fail because a "1" is not being inserted before the area code. So the contact number is 555-456-7899, the client is trying to send 95554567899 which then fails. In the MiCollab server under the PBX nodes, plus dialing rules are populated - country code = 1, International  = 011, LD = 1. Are there any other areas I need to configure?

Second question - For the MiCollab operator console, is there a way to change the sort order of the corporate contacts? It looks like they are sorted by first name currently, but would like to see them by last name.

Any info appreciated!

Thank you

What kind of trunks are you using? I would likely program 10 digit dialing as well as 11. That way you can easily call back caller id values within the client

They are using PRI's.

Under what area do I need to set up the 10 and 11 digit dialing? ARS in the PBX?

Thanks for the response

I assume you are in the US which means any number in E.164 format being dialed like your example shows, the +1 will be stripped of since the server is in the same region/country.
If for instance if you were dialing +27xxxxxxxxxxx then MiCollab will insert the international dialing code and leave the +27 because your server is not in the same location

Does this make sense?
