Test Email Alerts
« on: May 03, 2017, 11:26:09 AM »
Is there any way to test alerts via email?  I am not receiving email alerts anymore, and the settings look correct on 3300.
Can the 3300 use hostnames in the smtp settings or does it have to be IP?  I do have the DNS server set in IP settings as well.

I made some changes to our email system, but now I need to test.

Thanks

-Evan

Change your alarm threshold for trunks.
set thres trunks nil nil 0
This will put your system in critical alarm and should trigger email alerts.

As always thanks Ralph!

I was able to receive some alerts last night during a system reboot.  I am just not sure what fixed it.  Using the IP address of our email system as opposed to a DNS name.  Or adding the phones systems IP to the scope of the receive connectors on the email system.

Thanks again!
